The Chicago Accordion Club was formed in 1988, by musicians and accordionists of varying skill levels, for the purpose of expanding the role of accordions in music today.
Each month our membership meets to experience a variety of music played by Local and National Artists. The clubs newsletter, the "Accordiana", is published monthly outlining past and upcoming events. The "Accordiana" also provides information relating to the music and the accordion.
The Midwest is represented by many diverse cultures. No where is this more prominent than in the Chicago Metropolitan Area. The Chicago Accordion Club is represented by a multitude of ethnicity making the Chicago Accordion Club one of the most multicultural clubs in the United States today.
The cultural influences represented by our people, architecture, food, customs, and most importantly "music" has lead to a discovery of Chicago by international travelers. The Chicago Accordion Club represents an opportunity for world travelers to enjoy an unprecedented collection of artists from all walks of life.
The Chicago Accordion Club meets monthly providing budding artists opportunities to enhance their skills performing in front of large audiences for one hour prior to the regular meeting. This Pre-Meeting Music Session is open to members and other accordion artists aspiring to improve their stage presence and confidence.
Following the Pre-Meeting Music Session, the regular business meeting is conducted, followed by a Main Music Event features top accordionist from around the world.
